Today I decided to give my legs a break and go run on the track. Easy-peasy. Except for this run was the toughest on my legs out of any of them! I guess it's kind of astonishing, but with this program, my legs don't usually feel a lot of stress. I'm done with the run, and my legs feel fine. Today my shins are kind of achey. I wonder if it's from running on pavement more? I guess I will take a day off and run on the track again next time!
But the important part is, I finished week eight. Only one more week left! Woohoo!

Can you believe you have doing this for 8 weeks??? What will happen after eight weeks? Will you and your friend run a 5K? Will you continue running because you like it?
We run the 5K on November 5th. I can't believe so soon! After I finish with the program, I plan to keep running. Farther and farther!
There was an article in our little paper about an eighty six year old woman that was still running and belonged to the track club. She looked great! I hope you keep enjoying it. November 5th is coming up fast! Won't that be exciting. You better post a picture of that.
I just saw where a 99 year old man, the Turban Tornado, ran a marathon and still runs a lot. I'm so proud of you Kris. Nice sticking with it. Rarely do people who want a change actually do something about it. They usually have a billion excuses (like me) and then whine about their health, work, too busy blah, blah, blah. Or make a teeny change and expect grand results. You got out there and are doing something so good for you and you have 2 little kids! I'm so, so proud!
I think you are giving me too much credit, Kaye! But thanks :)
